ALL ABOUT
ME
On the 26th day of December, 1993, Vanessa was born. Her name came from her parents Bani and Theresa. Vanessa’s parents came from Bicol. They met there until a close relationship was formed between them. They decided to travel and live in
A year later, another baby was born,
her name is Bernadeth. She was the second child in their family. And 3 years
later, another baby was born, her name is Joanne. Vanessa has 2 younger sisters.
All of them had grown up having fear and faith to God because since birth they
were all an Iglesia Ni Cristo member.
Much of Vanessa’s childhood was, in
fact, spent in Caloocan , and she began her
elementary education there, at Karis
Christian Academy . She got the 1st honor and her
parents were so proud of her. When she was in Grade 1, she joined in their
fieldtrip with her father. They went at Enchanted Kingdom
and she was very happy because it was her first time to go there. She transferred
at Pag-Asa Elementary School when she was in Grade
2 until Grade 4. She also got there an award, top 4 in grade 2, top 5 in grade
3 and top 8 in grade 4. When she was in Grade 2, she was confined in the
hospital because of dengue. She suffered 2 weeks with that sick. And she was
only in Grade 4 when her sister Joanne died because of epilepsy. Joanne leave a
very pretty smile before she has gone. Vanessa is just 10 years old that time
but she knew the feeling when one of your family had gone .
Vanessa
transferred again at Ligtong
Elementary School when
she was in Grade 5 and Grade 6. It was located at Rosario ,
Cavite and most
of their relatives were living there. Her father didn’t accompany them. He
stayed in Caloocan
to work for them. They were not that rich but she knew that her parents can
sustained their needs. The culture and ways of life in Cavite
was definitely different with that in Caloocan .
The people there have different way in speaking. The schools there were also
big and the policies were not good because the students are free to wear
slippers and sandals only. The time of their class starts at 7:00 in the
morning until 4:00 in the afternoon unlike in Caloocan , the class starts at 6:00 in the
morning until 12:00 noon only. But then, she also got more friends there and
she also got new knowledge from her teachers. Her elementary life ended well.
She graduated at Ligtong
Elementary School as a
top 7.
The
day after Vanessa’s graduation, they came back in Caloocan . She enrolled at Sampaguita High School .
It was so hard when she entered High School Life because it’s a new face again,
new classmates and she didn’t know all of them. She was so shy with her
classmates but it suddenly disappeared when day by day they were getting to
know each other. She used to love Mathematics when she was in first year. Since
then, her favorite subject is Math because of her teacher that was so great in
teaching Algebra. She studied hard and participated well to all her subjects
that’s why she got the rank 1 in their class. Her teachers were so proud of her
and also her parents.
In
Vanessa’s 2nd year life, there were also new students transferred
from other sections or schools. Since grade 1, she was in section 1. It seemed
good because the most priority definitely was section 1. Her 2nd
year in high school was good. She learned much from her teachers. In that year
was also her first time to have crush on someone. But of course it was only a
crush, studies first before anything else. J She was elected as a President of their class so she did her
very best to be a good leader. She also experienced teaching other sections
when their teacher was absent. In that year, she got the rank 4.
In
Vanessa’s 3rd year high school, even if she’s an INC, she
experienced the JS Prom. She joined other clubs like Math club, Filipino club
and Science Club. She joined also on quiz bee in different subjects to test her
intelligence with other students. She was also experienced being a student
teacher for just one week and it was so exciting because you will be the
counterpart of your teacher and you will also act like a teacher. And this was
also the time having some bonding with your teacher and other students. In that
year, she got the rank 6.
Vanessa’s
4th year life was the best even if that was the last year of her
high school life. In that year she was elected as a Treasurer in Supreme
Students Government and as a Secretary in Mathematics Club. As an SSG Officer,
it quite hard because they were the one who must arranged the programs that
will be held in their school. Being an officer was also an additional in your
extra curricular points. She also joined their camping that was held only in
their school. It was so exciting and so much fun and she really enjoyed it.
Since grade 1, she always joined in fieldtrip. She used to love traveling in
other places. In that year, she didn’t join JS Prom because their minister
conduct a meeting about that JS that’s why she didn’t attempt to attend. Days
passed, she graduated from Sampaguita High School in 2010 and she got only rank
12 but it is fine for her at least she graduated and maybe this was the real
plan of God for her. Her teachers felt sad but then they gave her an advice and
at last they hugged her. She cried because that was the last day of her high
school life.
At
present, Vanessa’s is studying at New
Era University
in a course of BS Accountancy. She’s now a 2nd year student and she
will be studying hard for her to pass, become a CPA and have a bright future.
She wants to finish her studies so that her parents will be proud of her. They
expect so much from her. And when she finished it, I will give them their
wants, I will be very thankful for them because they are working hard just for
me to finish my studies. I will be giving them a good life and I will continue
what they’ve started.
